How many trades on average do you make per day?
The number of trades varies according to market conditions but is usually between 1 & 4 trades most days. Some days I choose not to trade at all if I do not see anything worth trading.
How many pips on average do you make per day?
This is a question I get asked a lot and it’s pretty meaningless. I like to talk % rather than pips as pips are easy to make whereas % isn’t.
Let’s look at two examples. In both examples we will work on a bank of £20,000 and a 1% risk = £200.
Example 1: GBPUSD long 1.5000. Stop loss 1.4900 (100 pips). Bank trade at 1.5100 = 100 pips profit = 1% =£200 profit.
Example 2: GBPUSD long 1.5000. Stop loss 1.4990 (10 pips). Bank trade at 1.5100 = 100 pips profit = 10% =£2,000 profit.
So as you can see, it’s a lot easier to make 100 pips on a trade in the direction of the trend with a 100 pip stop loss. If you risked 1% of your bank on this trade, your profit would be 1%. However, if I advised the trade with a 10 pip stop loss and it made 100 pips, I would still make 100 pips profit but I would make 10 times the return on my money equating to a 10% return on my bank, £200 plays £2,000. So do you still want to know how many pips I make a week?
My target is to make an average of 1.5% profit on my bank per day, trading cautiously.
Which pairs do you trade?
I trade many different pairs. I prefer to stick to the ones with the smaller spreads e.g. EURUSD, AUDJPY and Cable, etc but sometimes I will go for ones with slightly larger spreads such as EURAUD and GBPCAD. The exact pairs that I trade on any given day are the ones that provide me with the best setup on my custom indicator and other factors.
What sessions do you trade?
I’m based in UK so most of my trades are between 6am and 10pm UK time.
How much is it for the SMS service?
As well as email alerts for £79 per month, I offer an SMS text alert service. I charge an extra £20 per month for this to cover the cost of sending the texts.
Are all trades that you take executed immediately after you send an alert?
I either place an order or I take a trade at the current price. As soon as I have done this, I post the details of what I have done. Quite often when I take a price the price may not move very far from that level for a while but sometimes it will move in your favour for a better entry and other times it may not. It’s swings and roundabouts. At other times, there is more volatility depending on market conditions. Most of my members seem to be able to get in a trade at approximately the same level as I do. If I am able to give an advance warning, I will do so.
